3D Image Processing

The Diagnostic Workstation 3D system is optimally using the multi core processor technology for volume rendering, which is more and more common. Thus, high image quality and high interactivity can be achieved even with low hardware requirements for graphics cards.

Displaying and processing up to 1536 CT images and MRI images of any resolution between 256×256 and 512×512 pixels

Creating and administrating user defined presets to relate color-, transparency- and material properties to the image
Storing 3D views in the Hipax DW database in DICOM format (secondary capture) with resolutions up to 2048×2048 pixels

Minimum 2 GB RAM, 4 GB for full-length scans
Minimum 80 GB hard disk
OpenGL 1.5 and DirectX 9.0 Shader model 3.0 graphics card
Network card, TCP/IP network
CD drive to install the program
USB plug for the dongle
Wheel mouse
Windows 2000, XP (SP 2), Vista
Suitable image series (CT or MRT)
Image planes in parallel layer, displaced along the normal to the plane
Image pixels square
The distance between the image planes shall not be too big
