The HIPAX Patient CD is the cost saving alternative to X-ray films. It contains all images of the patient, laboratory data and reports as well as a HIPAX viewer.
The intuitive user interface of the HIPAX Patient CD viewer provides different tools for image processing: windowing-leveling, dynamics, zoom, measurements, layout functions, Windows print. No special PC configuration is required.
HIPAX Patient CDs fulfil the demands of the German Radiology Socienty (DRG) and the DICOM standard. As a result, HIPAX Patient CDs can also be read by systems of other manufacturers.
Creating Patient CDs by the HIPAX Workstation
The HIPAX Workstations provide modules for patient CD creation:
- Manually using a local burning drive
- Automatically using a Primera Disc Publisher CD/DVD robot
Creating Patient CDs by the HIPAX Robot Manager
In a hospital or medical practice, HIPAX Patient CDs can be created using a CD/DVD robot of Epson, Primera or Rimage.
The HIPAX Robot Manager receives images from all modalities or DICOM workstations within the network, creates the Patient CD job and sends the burning job to the robot.
HIPAX Patient CDs can be encrypted (AES) to prevent data abuse. To open an encrypted HIPAX Patient CD, a password needs to be entered. Passwords are individually generated for each single Patient CD.
