The HIPAX portfolio provides different solutions for viewing stations within a network:   

  
Diagnostic Workstation Standard
 

The standard version of the HIPAX workstations is the capable and convenient solution for image processing. It includes the following tools to process single images as well as series and sequences:

  • Configurable image areas and series areas
  • Window leveling and dynamics
  • Magnification glass
  • Continuous zoom with interpolation
  • Rotation and mirror
  • Full screen mode
  • Image import, also from CDs/DVDs
  • Image export
  • Printing images on Windows printers using different layouts
  • Writing and setting marks
  • Measurement of distances, areas, angles
  • Hanging Protocol
  • Scout lines
  • Stack mode
  • Paging through series or sequences
  • Synchronized paging through two or more series
  • Synchronized comparison between two series
  • Playing series in any speed
  • Playing several series at the same time
  • DICOM Storage, Query/Retrieve (Option)
 
The standard version of the HIPAX Workstation can be extended by additional functions, for example:
 
  • MPR
  • Volume Rendering
  • MIP, MinIP
  • Mammography diagnostics

  • Creating patient CDs (manually or using a Primera robot)

The "light" version of the HIPAX Workstations is the cost saving viewer solution for small and big networks. It includes the following functions for image processing:

  • Configurable image areas and series areas
  • Window leveling and dynamics
  • Magnification glass
  • Continuous zoom with interpolation
  • Rotation and mirror
  • Full screen mode
  • Image import, also from CDs/DVDs
  • Image export
  • Printing images on Windows printers using different layouts
  • DICOM Storage, Query/Retrieve (Option)
 
  
Web Viewer

 
The HIPAX Web Access function enables authorized users to load and process images easily and cost saving using an internet browser. The HIPAX Web Access function is a module of the HIPAX Cluster PACS Server, but it is also available for PACS servers of other manufacturers using the HIPAX Web Gate.

The HIPAX Web Viewer provides the following features:
 

  • Data security by login procedure and access control list
  • Controlled access to stored image and patient data via HTML user interface (JPEG format)
  • Two categories of user groups with different access authorization (full control or reading only)
  • External tickets to allocate temporary access authorization to physicians of other hospitals or practices
  • Query with different parameters: patient name, patient ID, referring physician, modality, date
  • Converting DICOM images to JPEG
  • HTML viewer with window leveling, zoom, previous/next image
  • Creating DICOM SRs
  • Communication via Intranet or Internet
  • Universal use, independent of the platform and browser
  • Each web access is documented and can be reconstructed (audit)
 
The additional module "Viewer Plugin" provides further functions:
 
  • Loading original DICOM images
  • DICOM conform lossless compression
  • Bandwidth optimized, adapting the compression mode automatically to the capability of the network
  • Additional tools for image processing
Using the HIPAX Viewer Plugin, a Windows operating system and Internet Explorer are required.
